KUALA LUMPUR: Nicolas Anelka and Ashley Cole scored as English Premiership side Chelsea rounded off their Asian tour with 2-0 win over a Malaysian XI on Tuesday.

Chelsea, who are AFC’s partner in development for the Vision China project, start slow on a humid night at Shah Alam Stadium in front of 40,000 fans.

Nicholas Anelka gave the UEFA Champions League runners-up the lead in the 27th minute on a Joe Cole pass. Substitute Ashley Cole slotted the ball past goalkeeper Elmi Eliza Elias from close range to make it 2-0 in the 53rd minute.

After romping past Chengdu Blades 7-0 on Saturday and thrashing Guangzhou Pharmaceutical last week, Chelsea have now bagged 13 goals without conceding as they head to Moscow for the Railways Cup.

"I crossed my fingers today and hoped no one would get injured because the pitch was impossible to play on. It was very difficult," said Scolari.

"It was a good tour though for me to see how players are on the field and to decide which players I need. 7-0, 4-0, 2-0 -- it was all training for us."

Chelsea open their Premier League season on August 17 against Portsmouth.
